B&K Hosts a Full Intermediate VFD Troubleshooting Class
Cliff Jones and Ethan Duvall lead practical technical education in City of Industry
B&K’s Intermediate VFD Troubleshooting course filled quickly ahead of its October 1, 2026 session, underscoring customer interest in deeper technical training for variable frequency drives. Presented by Cliff Jones and Ethan Duvall at the William H. Kendrick Training Center in City of Industry, the class gave attendees an opportunity to build their troubleshooting knowledge with experienced B&K instructors.
Cliff brings more than 40 years of VFD experience to his work as a trainer. That depth of experience provides valuable context for understanding drive problems and approaching them systematically. Alongside Ethan, he helped deliver an intermediate curriculum for attendees looking to move beyond the basics and strengthen their understanding of VFD troubleshooting.
Attendees enjoyed the curriculum, and the strong response to registration reinforced the value of making technical education accessible to our customers. For teams responsible for keeping equipment running, time spent developing troubleshooting skills can support better maintenance conversations and more informed decisions when a drive issue occurs.
A VFD operates as part of a larger system. Effective troubleshooting depends on understanding the application and the relationship between the drive, motor, controls, and connected equipment. Building that perspective helps teams investigate problems more carefully and communicate useful information when additional technical support is needed.
B&K’s training programs are an extension of our commitment to customer support. We want customers to have access to the knowledge behind the products they use, as well as the people who can help them evaluate their applications.
Thank you to everyone who attended and to Cliff and Ethan for sharing their expertise. Contact B&K to learn about upcoming technical training and VFD application support.
